＃Eecon８　Stockpiled rice sold in all 47 prefectures.

 ～Three weeks after the '2000 yen declaration', the rice milling factory is operating at full capacity due to a flood of orders～




　As rice stock sales begin in all 47 prefectures, the current issue at hand is 'white rice'. We interviewed wholesalers who are operating at full capacity due to an influx of requests for rice milling.

　Before the store opened, there was a long line formed at the Aeon in Fukuoka City. The main attraction was, as expected, the emergency rice priced at 2,138 yen for 5 kilograms. Due to its popularity, the opening time was moved up. This was the first time that emergency rice was sold through a discretionary contract at Aeon Kyushu's stores.

　Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Shinjiro Koizumi (on the 23rd of last month): "In early June, you will be able to see 2000 yen stockpiled rice in stores."

　Currently, we have increased the staff and are operating at full capacity, and the reality is that it is difficult to handle more than this.

　In my personal opinion, the emergence of stockpiled rice is not something I can simply be happy about. I hope that we can return to a system or state where we can live without the need to draw on stockpiled rice.

    If the stockpiled rice is sold at a low price, people will buy it. This will mean that branded rice will not sell, and I am worried about the impact on producers.

    Lower rice prices are great news for us! But for farmer, this news may be bad news becausesales will go down.

  ～450g of mayonnaise is 559 yen～ Kewpie announced on the 26th that it will raise prices of a total of 118 items, including mayonnaise and dressings, by approximately 4 to 18%. This is due to rising costs of raw materials like chicken eggs, packaging costs, processing costs, and labor costs, making it difficult to absorb the increased costs through their own efforts. Mayonnaise products are subject to 30 items, and for a 450-gram product, the reference retail price will rise from 520 yen to 559 yen including tax. Dressing products include 27 items, while food for nursing care includes 52 items. Seasonings and ingredient foods will see price increases starting from shipments on September 1, and foods for nursing care will see increases starting from shipments on October 1. Japan is serious about the implementation of generative AI: Taiwanese AI semiconductor startup has high hopes for the Japanese market.
