Personal Reflection Part 1

①First of all, what I learned from Mrs. Duquette's lecture is the importance of her effort, knowledge of alcohol, and communication through many people and projects from various countries. From the accumulation of those experiences, I learned about the knowledge of alcohol and it’s culture, which led to the establishment of 「Niigata Sake Lovers」to promote Niigata sake to the world.

I have realized once again importance of active communication across countries and the continuous accumulation of efforts and experiences. I also thought that I want to incorporate this ambitious mindset and proactivity into my future life.

②What strongly remains in my memory from the lecture was the discussion about sustainability through reuse. It made us reflect on where we usually dispose of our food wase and helped me realize the importance of reuse in our daily lives. I also want to treasure resources and reconsider ways to utilize them to see if they can be reused.

③What particularly made me think during the lecture was about not giving up on challenges and the concept of finding purpose in life. Seeing people who always have the motivation to communicate boldly with others from overseas and execute projects has given me the encourage to go abroad. Additionally, the graph about finding purpose was very impressive, and I also want to strongly hold onto a sense of purpose in my life. I felt that this chart will be very helpful as I contemplate my own life going forward.
